3 Top Malaysian Fugitives Denied Entry to UK, Deported to Mumbai and Arrested After Clash with Security

Three top Malaysian fugitives, wanted for evading a police crackdown known as “Operation Jack Sparrow”, fled overseas but were recently denied entry by UK authorities and deported, subsequently getting into a heated confrontation with security in Mumbai, India.

After being deported by the UK, they engaged in a violent clash with security personnel at Mumbai International Airport.

According to New Delhi Television (NDTV), the three are currently being held in a special room at the airport under “high security surveillance.” An elite Malaysian SWAT team is expected to arrive in Mumbai within 48 hours to carry out the arrest.

These three fugitives are wanted for a series of murders and arson cases. After fleeing Malaysia, they transited through Mumbai en route to Manchester, UK.

However, their flight came to an end at Manchester Airport, where UK immigration officials, after learning the trio were “high-risk criminals”, denied them entry.

Because they flew in from Mumbai, international convention required these offenders to be deported back to their point of departure.

Upon landing back in Mumbai from Manchester, the three realized they had fallen into a trap.

Sources revealed that they caused havoc in the transit zone and attempted to resist law enforcement, ultimately getting arrested.

“They not only resisted arrest but also actively fought back without regard for consequences. They are now confined to a special room under 24-hour surveillance, with enhanced security to prevent any further escape attempts.”

The case raised questions amongst Indian authorities, particularly about how the three fugitives managed to enter the airport and board the flight to Manchester.

Investigators are now probing whether the trio used forged documents, or if there were lapses in the INTERPOL Red Notice databank during their initial transit.

Reports say Mumbai airport authorities are maintaining close contact with Malaysian authorities. The three have been identified as prime targets of “Operation Jack Sparrow”, a large-scale operation launched by the Royal Malaysia Police at the end of 2025.

This operation, led by National Police Chief Datuk Seri Mohamad Khalid, aims to dismantle two criminal organizations responsible for spreading fear and violence.

The trio have been involved in over 80 criminal cases, including the Sentosa Garden murder in Klang, as well as cases of arson, gang robbery, and shootings in the Pudu and Cheras areas of Kuala Lumpur.

Most of their crimes were committed to seize territory and illegal gains. The gang members collectively have 80 criminal records, including 34 drug-related offenses.
