The Ministry of Education Awards Academic Excellence Prize to 192 Public and Private Students

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 29th) Universiti Brunei Darussalam held the 2024 Outstanding Student Awards Ceremony yesterday.
This event is also organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Department of Schools, Department of Exams, Department of Private Education, and Department of Special Education along with the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).
The ceremony aims to recognize students who achieved excellent results in the Brunei-Cambridge GCE A Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), Pearson Edexcel/GCE International Advanced Level, Brunei-Cambridge GCE O Level, IGCSE, Pearson BTEC Level 2 and 3 Extended Certificates, and the Primary School Assessment (PSR).
Datuk Seri Paduka Dr. Romaizah was invited to attend as the guest of honor.

A total of 192 students from private primary and secondary schools across Brunei, government colleges, and sixth form centers, as well as international schools, received awards in various categories. These categories include Brunei-Cambridge GCE A Level Outstanding Achievement Award (17 students), GCE A Level Excellent Student Award (16 students), GCE A Level Special Education Award (3 students), Pearson Edexcel/GCE International Advanced Level (2 students), Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate (1 student), International Baccalaureate (IB) (5 students), Brunei-Cambridge GCE O Level Outstanding Achievement Award (31 students), GCE O Level and IGCSE (39 students), GCE O Level and IGCSE Special Education Award (5 students), Pearson BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate (3 students), Primary School Assessment (PSR) (60 students), and Primary School Assessment Special Education Award (10 students).
The Outstanding Student Award is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Education to recognize students who excel in academics, especially in public exams, and to encourage students to continue achieving excellence with higher determination in the future.
Through the award ceremony, the Ministry of Education expresses gratitude to parents and guardians for their continuous support and encouragement of their children, and acknowledges the efforts made by schools over the past year to achieve excellent results in public exams.
