Malaysia’s horror queen Angelica Lee (Li Xinjie) led her “Destiny Sisters” team with Xie Nan, Xu Jie’er, and Grace Chan in a fully live (no backing track) performance of Rainie Yang’s classic song “Rainie Love” on the live first round of Mango TV’s “Sisters Who Make Waves 2026” (also known as ‘Sister Lang 7’) on the night of the 11th. With an impressive live score of 878 votes, their performance became a stage highlight, praised by viewers as “celestial-level live music.”

The Destiny Sisters team performed “Rainie Love” entirely without any backing vocals or post-production tuning, allowing every breath and harmony to be heard clearly. Music critics lauded it as “recording studio-level live vocals.” Each of the four members had a clear role: Angelica Lee laid down the emotional foundation with her storytelling voice, Xu Jie’er’s high notes were like an “anchor,” Xie Nan provided a solid mid-range, while Grace Chan’s ethereal tone added depth; their voices blended seamlessly, with viewers describing it as “every line touching the heart, like fine rain soaking in.” Destiny Sisters instantly secured 878 votes—even though some audience members felt the score underrated them, they still topped the vocal group category.

This performance ranked 4th out of 10 groups, just behind the Wulan Tuoya team with “Just Like Fire” (912 votes), Patty Hou’s team with “Half and Half” (904 votes), and Ye Yiqian’s team with “Flowers in the North of the City” (881 votes). Some viewers questioned the scoring standards, believing the vocal strength deserved a higher placement, especially when compared to performances that used backing tracks, highlighting the sincerity of their live vocals.
