Chinese folk singer Song Dongye is releasing his second original solo album Take Another Moment after a 13-year hiatus, and will kick off his world tour of the same name. The Malaysia stop will take place on August 14 (Friday) at 8:00 PM at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
Song Dongye, who rose to fame with his original song "Miss Dong," released his debut album North of Anhe Bridge in 2013, and won the hearts of fans with his unique folk style and delicate songwriting, receiving multiple Mandarin music awards. Between 2017 and 2018, he released singles such as "Airport Song," "Guo Yuanchao," and "Know," and with "Guo Yuanchao," won the Best Lyricist award at the 29th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan.
The brand new album Take Another Moment was written, composed, arranged, and produced by Song Dongye himself, with collaborations with musicians from China's jazz scene. This album, released after a 13-year gap, continues his signature style of depicting life, emotions, and reflections through lyrics, while incorporating more diverse musical elements to showcase the creative phase he is currently in.
With the release of the new album, the Take Another Moment world tour is officially underway. For this Malaysia stop, Song Dongye will perform not only new works from his album but also classics such as "Anhe Bridge," "Miss Dong," "Guo Yuanchao," and "Airport Song," allowing fans to revisit his musical journey over the years.
