(Kuala Lumpur, 31st) The National Palace has announced that His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim is experiencing musculoskeletal pain in his back and hip, and will be undergoing follow-up treatment.
In a statement released today, the National Palace said that medical experts have advised His Majesty to rest before commencing follow-up treatment in order to facilitate recovery.
"Therefore, His Majesty will not be attending today's (July 31) National Heroes' Day commemoration ceremony held at the National Heroes Square in Putrajaya."
The 2026 National Heroes' Day commemoration ceremony was held this morning in Putrajaya, attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar accompanied by his wife, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah.
Other attendees included Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution, Defense Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, Chief of the Armed Forces General Tan Sri Mohamed Ab Rahman, and National Police Chief Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
