Trump Watched U.S. Military Capture Maduro: 'More Thrilling Than Any Hollywood Movie'

(U.S., 4th) U.S. President Trump described the U.S. military’s operation to capture Venezuelan President Maduro as "pinpoint accurate," with American forces storming the presidential residence bedroom under the cover of night so rapidly that Maduro had no time to escape.

According to Central News Agency, on the 3rd, the U.S. launched a "large-scale strike" against Venezuela, capturing President Maduro and his wife, and bringing them to New York by warship to stand trial. At midday (midnight Malaysia time) on the 4th, Trump held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

At the press conference, Trump confirmed that he monitored the entire operation. Trump praised the U.S. military’s technology as “incredible, you can see almost every detail. I was just sitting here, like watching a TV show, except it was happening in real life—more thrilling than any Hollywood movie.”

Maduro’s residence is located in Venezuela’s capital Caracas, at the heavily guarded Tiuna Fortress military base. He stated that the U.S. military adopted a "blitz" tactic, storming in with lightning speed.

Trump pointed out that inside the residence there is a steel-reinforced "emergency shelter," but the U.S. special forces acted so quickly that Maduro was captured in the bedroom "before he could run to that room."

Trump revealed U.S. military tactics: Before the special forces entered the residence, the military used jamming technology to cut off local electricity and communications, leaving the Venezuelan forces in total darkness and unable to call for backup.

At the press conference, Trump said that the U.S. military originally prepared a much larger second-wave attack. "We initially assumed that a second wave would be necessary, but because the first operation was so successful, it may no longer be needed."

Trump stated that this operation was a joint land, sea, and air mission, describing it as "an operation unprecedented since World War II." He called Maduro a narco-terrorist and leader of a vast criminal network, and said that this operation was about bringing a dictator to justice.
