French President Macron stated on the 20th that Israel's planned military operation in Gaza would only bring 'disaster' to both the Israeli and Palestinian peoples, and trigger a 'perpetual war' in the region.
He wrote on social media that he and the leaders of Jordan and Egypt all believe that ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires achieving a ceasefire in Gaza, releasing all detainees, delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza residents, disarming Hamas, and strengthening the role of the Palestinian Authority.
Macron spoke with Jordan's King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Sisi on the same day.
Macron called for the deployment of an international stabilization mission to Gaza, while also seeking a political solution that can address the expectations of the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
He said France and Saudi Arabia will jointly host a 'Two-State Solution' conference in September, and that implementing the 'Two-State Solution' is the 'only viable path.'
Germany Opposes Escalation of Gaza Operations by Israel
German government deputy spokesperson Meyer pointed out on the 20th that Germany opposes Israel's plan for an operation to take over Gaza City, and calls on all parties involved to immediately achieve a sustainable ceasefire to end the conflict.
Meyer told the media that day: 'We oppose such escalation of military action and call on all parties and the international community to immediately end the conflict through a lasting ceasefire.'
He noted that Germany will continue to use all diplomatic means to exert influence.
