(Bandar Seri Begawan, 3rd) Kiudang Chung Hwa School held an AI Empowered Education Workshop at the end of the year on December 30 in the school’s Wen Hui Hall, aiming to enhance teachers’ professional abilities, adapt to the rapidly evolving technological trends in education, and prepare instructors for the teaching innovations of the 2026 academic year.
This one-day training was led by experienced innovator in teaching methods and pioneer in AI digitalized teaching, Teacher Wang Weiwen. All school teachers participated enthusiastically, engaging in an enriching and dynamic learning atmosphere to jointly explore the practical application of artificial intelligence in classroom teaching.
The workshop covered a range of practical AI tools, including Google Gemini, Canva AI, NotebookLM, and Nanobanana Pro, assisting teachers in enhancing efficiency in course design, teaching material production, and integration of educational resources. Teachers widely reported that these tools not only reduce the burden of lesson preparation and administrative tasks but also free up more time for them to focus on student learning and classroom interaction.
During the training, the instructor arranged several hands-on sessions where teachers designed interactive worksheets, digital teaching materials, and diversified classroom activities. The atmosphere was lively, with teachers inspiring one another through discussion and experimentation; many expressed that artificial intelligence brings greater possibilities to the classroom, making lessons more engaging and inclusive, thus catering to students with different learning needs and progress.
Principal Tao Meihua stated: “To do a good job, one must first sharpen their tools. Since 2025, our school has been equipping every classroom with computers, projectors, and screens to fully promote technology-based teaching. The next step is to provide teachers with training in operating AI tools, so they can take full advantage of technological convenience and comprehensively improve the efficiency of teaching and learning. The school has a responsibility to provide up-to-date training and resources for teachers. Only when teachers are equipped with the necessary capabilities can students truly benefit. Even in remote areas, we hope our children will not fall behind due to their geographic location, but can keep pace with the development of education and enjoy high-quality and equitable learning opportunities.”
Principal Tao further emphasized that artificial intelligence does not replace the core work of teachers, but becomes a powerful assistant for educators. This workshop stressed practical operation and theoretical application, helping teachers incorporate technology into the classroom in a supportive and responsible environment.
This AI education workshop not only enhanced teachers’ digital literacy, but also demonstrated the school’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence. Kiudang Chung Hwa School will continue to empower its teachers and keep pace with the times, creating a richer and more forward-looking learning environment for students, and nurturing a new generation ready to face the challenges of the future.
