Trump Signs 'Big and Beautiful' Bill, B2 Bomber Flies Over White House

U.S. President Trump signed the 'Big and Beautiful' tax and spending bill on the 4th, marking the official passage of this highly controversial act into law.

The bill narrowly passed the House of Representatives on the 3rd, and Trump eagerly made the signing ceremony a part of America’s Independence Day celebrations.

B2 bomber flew over the White House accompanied by F22 and F35 fighter jets, as Trump and First Lady Melania watched from the South Portico of the White House. Trump stood at attention and saluted.

In his speech, Trump remarked that after this spectacular display of American power, he wished God to bless the U.S. military and America. As the U.S. entered its 249th year, it was winning like never before, and America’s golden age was arriving.

Trump then signed the bill at a ceremony on the South Lawn, striking the table with the Speaker’s gavel given to him by House Speaker Johnson to officially finalize the bill.

Before the signing ceremony, Trump once again explained why this bill was 'big and beautiful,' and praised the efforts of Senate Majority Leader Thune and House Speaker Johnson.

The bill embodies key elements of Trump’s governing agenda, mainly tax cuts, reductions in Medicare and nutrition assistance spending, as well as increased funding for the military and border security.

Lawmakers from both parties remain sharply divided over the bill. In the House vote on the 3rd, all Democratic lawmakers and two Republican lawmakers voted against it. U.S. media believe that the bill will add roughly $3.3 trillion (about RM13.93 trillion) to America’s already high fiscal deficit over the next 10 years, while tens of millions of Americans will lose medical and food assistance.
