(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) This year, from November 21 to 24, about 40 scouts from the Brunei Scout Troop participated in an advanced badge training program 2.0 intensive training camp in Temburong District.

Two members from the 1003 Scout Troop of Brunei Chung Hwa Middle School participated. Dennis from Grade 11 and Wu Jiayin from Grade 10 completed the scout adventure and learning training in Temburong District, successfully advancing to receive the Scout Honor Badge.

On the first day of the camp: Scouts were required to pitch tents and cover with a one-watt canopy, cooking at night using a campfire with locally sourced ingredients. The first day of outdoor living was both apprehensive and exciting, posing quite a challenge. On the second day of the camp: Scouts had to use the limited branches and bamboo found around the camp to create outdoor living furniture. As this was a competition among five groups, it was also a new challenge in creativity. The third day of the camp focused on physical and willpower training. Scouts carried their packs and trekked from Bokok and Bangar in Temburong District to another campsite in Labu. This experience tested the endurance and team spirit of the members. The fourth day of the camp was a reflection and summary course. Campers deeply reflected on the experiences of the past 3-4 days, understanding the tasks and responsibilities of scout life.

Despite the challenges faced during the four-day camping activities, the scouts demonstrated perseverance and team spirit. They not only overcame local weather conditions and the lack of infrastructure but also actively participated in various training and exchange activities, showcasing decisiveness, creativity, and strong endurance. It was an unprecedented scene.

Principal Xu Yuelan of Chung Hwa Middle School said that the Temburong scout journey was not just training but a celebration of endurance, unity, and love for nature! The scouts who participated in this cross-country challenge were only high school students, but they were fortunate to experience a life training during their teenage years, preparing them better for future endeavors and development. It's a happy occasion.

With the conclusion of the closing ceremony, the Brunei Scout Advanced Badge Training Program 2.0 intensive training camp also came to an end. Wu Jiayin, one of the participants, summarized: "The forest adventure in Lakiun village was an unforgettable experience for him. Our fearless actions were not only filled with team cooperation, cross-country challenge skills, but also deep friendships were forged, making it a worthwhile journey!"
