(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) An incident occurred today at Haji Koya Restaurant and Children's Activity Center located in Kampong Rimba. Fortunately, there are no reported casualties.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the alarm report at 7:32 in the morning. The department dispatched personnel from Jerudong Fire Station and Pengkalan Batu Fire Station for rescue.
Firefighting equipment included 3 vehicles and a total of 16 firefighters at the scene. Firefighters immediately launched firefighting operations and drew water from a nearby fire hydrant. The fire broke out on the second floor of the building, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within 8 minutes.
The cause of the fire and the extent of losses are still under investigation.
