(Bandar Seri Begawan, 12th) The Public Works Department under the Ministry of Development informs the public that at the traffic light intersection between Jalan Utama Berakas and Jalan Pasir Berakas (J45 traffic light, please refer to the map), work will be carried out to install loop sensors.
The half lane in question will be temporarily closed from the 9th (Monday) to the 15th (Sunday) of this month, between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM the following day (depending on weather conditions).
The Public Works Department stated that the main purpose of this temporary half-lane closure is to carry out the installation of loop sensors. The department urges drivers passing through the mentioned area to exercise caution, adhere to the speed limit, and obey traffic signs to avoid unnecessary accidents.
The cutting and installation of the traffic light loop sensor (inductive loop) is a project aimed at optimizing traffic light timing by detecting metal vehicles. This technology involves embedding cables under the road surface, utilizing the principle of electromagnetic induction to detect the presence of vehicles. The main workflow includes positioning, slot cutting, embedding wires, and sealing, with certain construction requirements for the road surface. It is commonly used in parking lots and at certain intersections.
