Mehr News Agency of Iran reported on the 18th that Payam Airport near Tehran, the capital of Iran, was attacked by Israeli missiles.
Payam Airport is located about 40 kilometers west of Tehran and mainly operates cargo services.
The agency also quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the airport did not suffer serious damage.
Earlier in the day, the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran reported that a facility of the Iranian Red Crescent in Tehran was severely damaged in an Israeli airstrike.
However, the Iranian Red Crescent later posted on social media, denying that its building in the capital Tehran was hit by an Israeli attack, but stated that the area near the building was attacked.
The Israeli Defense Forces issued a statement on the 18th, stating that the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes on Iranian military targets in Tehran earlier that day and bombed an air force base in Kermanshah Province of Iran, destroying three AH-1 helicopters.
