Fei Ma Doesn't Dare to Go to Thailand, Remembers Simon Yam Being Held at Gunpoint in Indonesia

Fei Ma (Maria Cordero) attended a beauty center event in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong on the 14th, and during the interview she mentioned the recent abduction incident in Thailand, admitting she doesn't dare to go to Thailand now. Asked if she had ever been tricked into going to certain places for work? She said, "It used to happen often. Decades ago, I went to remote areas in China for performances. Upon arrival, they asked me to sing first and would pay me after the performance, but I insisted on getting paid before performing. Another time, I went to Indonesia for a show. They paid half my fee, and I insisted on receiving full payment before going on stage, and finally I collected the full amount just before starting."

Fei Ma often travels to perform overseas. Has she encountered any dangerous situations? She recounted an incident when she and Simon Yam went to a nightclub in Indonesia for a performance. Simon gave flowers to a beautiful woman, but then a man beside the woman pulled out a gun and pointed it at Simon, demanding he drink a whole bottle of brandy. Fei Ma immediately stepped in to help him drink, and after she finished, it was her turn to go on stage. She said she would continue drinking after singing, but of course, they left after she finished singing. Simon Yam then asked if she wanted to go out and confront the man, to which Fei Ma replied, "No way, that guy is already drunk. Let's just go after singing!" This was the most dangerous incident, but it was decades ago. Nowadays, when she goes for performances, organizers provide security. There was also a time when she went to the Philippines to perform at a casino opening. They were left hungry because the chef had been kidnapped, scaring them from leaving the hotel casually.

Fei Ma mentioned that she is 71 this year and never expected to be approached to be a beauty ambassador, especially praising the center's massage service, mentioning the masseuse is Thai and always makes her comfortable enough to fall asleep. She also said she doesn't dare to go to Thailand and has advised her family to avoid going there.
