Kiudeng Chinese School Holds Teacher Professional Development Workshop

(B.S.B., 5th) - Kiudeng Chinese School recently held a teacher professional development workshop with the theme "A New Perspective on the World: Exploring Curiosity, Perception, Expectations, and Inner Desires."
This workshop was led by life mentor Ms. Jasly Kong Zhiqing, aiming to enhance teachers' self-awareness and emotional well-being through the Satir Iceberg Model. In addition to the participation of all administrative and teaching staff of Kiudeng, teachers from other schools were also attracted to join and learn together.
During the course, teachers actively participated in various interactive activities and group discussions, gaining deeper understanding of how emotions, perceptions, expectations, and inner desires affect individual behavior and interpersonal relationships. The workshop encouraged teachers to respond to various situations in life with greater empathy, curiosity, and understanding, and to extend such awareness into their daily teaching and interpersonal interactions, making communication warmer and promoting deeper connection and understanding among people.
The course concluded with a reflection session, and certificates were presented to all participating teachers to acknowledge their active engagement and commitment to continuous professional growth. Kiudeng Chinese School expressed sincere gratitude to Ms. Jasly Kong, thanking her for her inspiring sharing, interactive facilitation, and thoughtful dedication to the course, making this workshop a fulfilling and meaningful learning journey.
Principal Tao Meihua concluded by encouraging teachers to continue developing their professional skills while also remembering to care for and be aware of their own inner needs. Only when teachers are able to settle their own emotions and physical and mental state—maintaining healthy, positive, and stable internal strength—can they have more energy and patience to accompany and guide students’ growth, allowing education to exert its influence and power in an atmosphere of care and understanding.
