A Thai police official, dissatisfied that a birthday song was not played, approached a nightclub DJ booth to confront the DJ and struck the DJ on the head, causing a public uproar.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. on June 13 in a nightclub in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand.
Patara, whose stage name is DJ Mud Nasa, has filed a report regarding the incident with the Khon Kaen Police Department. In addition, he has exposed the details of the incident on social media.
He described that at the time of the incident, he had only been working at the DJ booth for about 5 to 10 minutes when a man suddenly barged into his work area and confronted him over a request to play the song "Happy Birthday".
The man said to me, "I told you to play the 'Happy Birthday' song, did you hear me? Don't you know who I am?"
Mud Nasa accused that during the negotiation, the man struck his head twice. The man also took off Mud Nasa's hat, threw it onto the DJ booth, and then left.
The entire process was captured by a CCTV camera installed behind the DJ booth. According to the footage, the man came to the DJ booth to confront him, first struck Mud Nasa on the head, then took off his hat and threw it onto the booth, struck Mud Nasa on the head again, and finally left the booth.
Mud Nasa said he works there to support his family and did not expect to be intimidated.

During an interview with local media, Mud Nasa revealed that he next went to the police station to file a report. At the police station, he noticed a portrait displayed at the entrance and recognized the accused as a member of the Khon Kaen Police Audit and Supervision Committee.
This committee includes some civilian representatives responsible for helping supervise, advise, and support police operations in the area.
Patara also revealed that at the time of the incident, the man involved was requesting the "Happy Birthday" song on behalf of a woman celebrating her birthday at the venue.
He said his team had actually already made an announcement over the microphone, encouraging guests to join the celebration, and were preparing to play the requested song when the altercation occurred.
The Superintendent of Khon Kaen Metropolitan Police, Yosawat, stated that investigators are currently examining the case.
According to the superintendent, the police plan to issue a summons for the man to appear for questioning as part of the investigation and subsequent legal procedures.
The police have not yet announced whether the man will retain his position on the provincial supervisory committee during the investigation.
