Myolie Wu and Wu Chun appeared at Pavilion Bukit Jalil on the 15th, gracing a jewelry brand event. Their rare appearance in Malaysia made them the center of attention, both in high spirits as they interacted enthusiastically with fans who responded with continuous screams.

Myolie Wu made her entrance in an off-shoulder black evening gown paired with specially-made jade jewelry from the brand, looking elegant and poised. She confidently walked the runway, frequently making heart signs to the fans, eliciting an enthusiastic response. During the interview, she admitted, “It’s been a while since I’ve seen everyone. I’m very happy to be back, and I know fans really miss me.”

In recent years, Myolie Wu has worked mostly in China. When asked whether she has shifted her work focus to China, she frankly said: “There have indeed been more opportunities in China these past few years, but I also filmed a Hong Kong drama ‘The Unbreakable Jury’ last year.” As for future Hong Kong projects, she said: “I'm currently filming a costume drama ‘Princess Shang’ in China, and don’t have new plans for Hong Kong dramas for now because I just finished a movie directed by Derek Yee.” She laughed, adding that she can’t schedule too much, “because I need to spend time with my family.” When asked how she balances work and family, she confessed, “Actually, it’s impossible to fully balance. I can only do my best.”

This trip happened to coincide with Raymond Lam’s concert in Malaysia. Asked if she would attend, Myolie Wu replied with a smile that she had already watched his show in Hong Kong, and since her schedule was tight, “I’m flying back to Hong Kong tomorrow.”

Wu Chun also revealed that his last visit to Malaysia was back in 2019, when he brought his family for a holiday and accompanied his daughter Neinei to a ballet competition. After six years, he is back in Kuala Lumpur, and what he misses most is the local cuisine. “I’ve always loved the food here. Apart from work, eating delicious food is what I look forward to most this time!”

Wu Chun and his family have lived in Shanghai for four years, mainly so the children can learn Chinese properly in China. “I’m very happy to see that they are now more familiar with Chinese culture.” He said with a smile that his daughter’s Chinese has even surpassed his own: “She improved so much in just four years. It’s really worth it.”

In recent years, Wu Chun has rarely taken on film and television projects. Talking about his next moves, he revealed that he will begin filming for a new variety show in two to three weeks. As for acting, he admitted there are currently no plans: “Filming a show takes three or four months, and I can’t leave my family for that long. Spending time with my kids is now the most important thing.”
