On the 15th, the Ministry of Commerce of Mainland China announced on its official website that to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, four American companies—Pacific Defense, AEVEX Aerospace, LKD Aerospace, and Peak Technologies—have been placed on the unreliable entity list. The reason given is that these four US companies participated in arms sales to Taiwan.
The aforementioned US companies are prohibited from engaging in import and export activities related to China, and from making new investments within China. Their executives are banned from entering the country, and their work permits, as well as stay or residence qualifications in China, will not be approved and will be canceled. The announcement is effective from the date of publication.
On the second day of this year (January 2), the Ministry of Commerce of Mainland China placed 10 US military companies involved in arms sales to Taiwan on the unreliable entity list, including several companies under Lockheed Martin. On the 14th, the Ministry further sanctioned an additional 7 US companies involved in arms sales to Taiwan.
