Children’s Artistic Mid-Autumn Creativity Shines in Miri – IQ Club Organizes Coloring Contest

(Miri, 8th) To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Miri Intellectual Enthusiasts Club recently held the “2025 Mid-Autumn Festival Coloring Contest” at Miri Boulevard Shopping Mall. The event attracted many parents and children who participated enthusiastically, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival through art and expressing feelings of reunion, harmony, and blessings.
This competition saw a total of 30 participants, aged between 7 and 12. With colorful pens, the children depicted lanterns, the moon, jade rabbits, and reunion scenes, showcasing their innocent creativity while conveying the warmth of the festival and the spirit of Chinese culture.
Mr. Huang Yicheng, president of the Miri Intellectual Enthusiasts Club, stated that organizing a Mid-Autumn-themed coloring contest aims to let children experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture in a joyful atmosphere, while stimulating their creativity and imagination through art.
“This activity is not only part of art education but also provides a warm parent-child interaction platform for families, allowing parents and children to spend a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival together.”
He pointed out that artistic activities can improve children’s observation, concentration, and expression, and serve as an important bridge to unite community emotions, enabling the next generation to learn the value of cherishing reunion and multiculturalism in a joyful environment.
It is worth mentioning that all registration fees from this contest will be fully donated to Miri Weixin Paradise to support charity and public welfare initiatives, making the event even more meaningful.
