Brad Pitt Sued Over 'Male Enhancement Cream' Trademark Dispute—Name Change Sparks Lawsuit Seeking $75,000 in Damages

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has recently found himself embroiled in a bizarre trademark lawsuit. His high-end skincare brand underwent a rebranding to change its name, only to unexpectedly provoke the ire of a brand specializing in male intimate care, which has officially filed an infringement lawsuit in a California court and is seeking over $75,000 (approximately 300,000 ringgit) in damages.

The 62-year-old Pitt, in partnership with the French Perrin winemaking family, co-founded the luxury, all-natural anti-aging skincare line "Le Domaine" in 2022. However, within the past year, the brand has revamped its strategy and officially changed its name to "Beau Domaine." This move infuriated "Beau D.," a male grooming brand established in 2020. Beau D.'s most famous hero product is a men's intimate moisturizer called "D.Cream," priced at $56 (roughly 227 ringgit), with marketing slogans promoting its ability to "give your important parts newfound power."

Beau D. claims that this act constitutes trademark infringement, unfair competition, and misleads consumers, and has thus taken legal action. In addition to seeking financial compensation, the plaintiff is also requesting the court to issue an injunction, completely prohibiting Pitt's team from using the name "Beau Domaine" in any future commercial activities.
