After the show aired, past rumors of her being romantically linked with BIGBANG member G-Dragon (GD, Kwon Ji-yong) began to circulate online again.
Lee Joo-yeon recently appeared on the show “Take Off Your Shoes, Dol Sing Four Men,” participating alongside actor Choi Jin-hyuk, comedian Shin Gyu-jin, and others. When asked, 'Is kissing a standard for determining whether you date someone?' she responded without hesitation, 'That's right, it’s the primary condition.' She even went on to say, 'I've really broken up with someone because our kissing didn’t match. Although I started dating them because of other things I liked, we ultimately broke up over incompatible kissing.'
Regarding the dating rumors with G-Dragon, the two were first rumored to be in a relationship in 2017, at which time Lee Joo-yeon's side responded that they were 'just close colleagues.' However, in May 2025, rumors about the two getting back together went viral on social media. In response, G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation formally clarified in June: 'Recently there have been persistent rumors about G-Dragon and Lee Joo-yeon dating, but these claims are not true.' They emphasized that the two are not in a relationship.
