26-year-old popular Chinese actress Zhao Lusi recently posted a forceful statement on Weibo, openly lashing out at her management company "Yinhe Kuyue." She not only accused them of making her shoulder compensation of 1.21 million ringgit on her own, but also furiously declared, "You don't need to ban me, I'm quitting," causing a stir online. Many netizens dug up Yang Mi’s classic quotes from her alleged ban 15 years ago for comparison, sparking heated discussion.

Zhao Lusi’s fierce clash with her company shocked the entertainment industry. She published consecutive posts questioning her agency: "You don't need to ban me, I'm quitting," and "What’s so shocking? Have you replied to my WeChat? Do you only know how to use Weibo?" showing a strong attitude. According to Zhao Lusi, she previously took a break from work due to health issues, but her company, without prior discussion, privately transferred 2.05 million yuan (about 1.21 million ringgit) in compensation from her studio account. Unable to bear it anymore, she chose to go public.
Yang Mi's classic quotes surfaced during her suspected ban.
Some netizens recalled, this is not the first time a female star has confronted her management company. As early as 2010, 24-year-old Yang Mi, who shot to fame after "Chinese Paladin 3," was invited to sign with Tangren Media, but refused due to ideological differences. After that, her resources were cut off and she received far fewer role offers, with even rumors that she was slapped by a director during filming.

At the time, amid rumors of being blacklisted, Yang Mi boldly declared: "If you have the guts, kill me. If you can't kill me, just wait to see me become even stronger." This became a classic quote. She later made a strong comeback with "Palace," rising to top-tier star status and starring in many hit shows.

In fact, Yang Mi has published golden quotes on Weibo more than once. She once publicly wrote: "Thank you for once looking down on me. You helped me shatter my weak self. Do you understand? I’m truly grateful to you. To those who hurt me the most in the past." She also wrote, “Before judging others, fill your own cup first.” And: “I believe in karma, and hope it comes in this life. That way, those who’ve done all kinds of heinous things and those who hurt you the most must already have fallen apart somewhere you can’t see.”

After Zhao Lusi started her fight with her management company, she interacted with fans almost daily via livestreams. Some questioned if she was going public only to pressure the company into submission, but she candidly admitted she knows venting on social media is useless and said the reason for going public was heartbreaking: “She was out of options.”
