The police in Chongqing, China, have reported that a man killed someone after being refused help while traveling in the area. He has now been criminally detained.
According to a report by the Xiushan County Public Security Bureau in Chongqing on its official Weibo on the 17th, a 19-year-old surnamed Liao set out on an electric scooter from Guangxi on the evening of the 14th to travel, and when passing by a house in Guanzhuang Subdistrict, Xiushan County, he asked the 32-year-old resident surnamed Peng for help with accommodation, charging his scooter, and for assistance in finding a job. Peng refused, and the two had a dispute.
After leaving, Peng returned to his room to rest. Around 2 a.m. the following morning, Liao broke in with a knife and killed Peng.
After receiving a report from the public, Xiushan County police quickly launched an investigation and apprehended Liao at around 1 p.m. on the 15th. Liao confessed that after being refused by Peng, he bore a grudge and intentionally killed him.
The suspect Liao has now been criminally detained by the Xiushan County Public Security Bureau, and the case is under further investigation.
