According to information from PT KCIC (Indonesia China High-Speed Railway Company) on July 13, as of July 12, the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia has been in operation for 1,000 days, with total passengers exceeding 16.58 million. The highest number of passengers sent in a single day reached 26,700, and the EMU trains have safely operated for over 8.02 million kilometers.
According to China News Service, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, as well as the first overseas high-speed railway project where China has implemented its full system, full elements, and full industry chain.
As of July 12, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway has operated a total of 52,730 passenger trains. The number of daily trains has increased from 14 to 62, with an on-time rate maintained at over 95%. The average daily number of passengers sent is about 16,000, with the highest single-day passenger count reaching 26,700.
The radiating and driving effects of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway are becoming increasingly evident. Since its opening, it has attracted more than 866,500 international tourists to travel for sightseeing, and has driven the development of tourism, catering, commerce, hotels, and other industries along the route. Hasan, General Manager of the Summarecon Development Zone where Dekarur Station is located, introduced that in 2026, the area is expected to see an average monthly increase of more than 1.1 million visitors, 25% of whom will come from regions outside Bandung.
