(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) Brunei Indera Motors, in collaboration with Brunei Shell Marketing Company (BSM), held a ceremony today at the Land Rover Indera Motors showroom in Beribi to inaugurate and cut the ribbon for the launch of the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
This infrastructure comprises one AC charging station and one DC charging station.
The installation of these AC and DC charging stations aims to enhance Brunei's electric mobility infrastructure and help customers better understand and experience emerging automotive technologies.
Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Energy Department Hajah Faridah, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications Mohd Sharifin, Indera Motors General Manager Yang He Xing, and Brunei Shell Marketing Company Managing Director Alexirwan Omar jointly officiated the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Indera Motors General Manager Yang He Xing stated that this installation marks an important step towards preparing for the gradual transition to electric vehicles.
“Today's theme is preparation. By establishing the right infrastructure, we are making our showroom, operations, and customers ready for the future of mobility.”
The event also showcased the Land Rover Defender plug-in hybrid model.
