Macau announced the continuation of the current cash sharing measures, distributing 10,000 MOP (5522.87 MYR) to each permanent resident of the Macau Special Administrative Region, and 6,000 MOP (3313.72 MYR) to each non-permanent resident.

On the 14th, the Chief Executive of the Macau SAR, Ho Iat Seng, delivered the "2025 Fiscal Year Policy Address" in the Legislative Assembly. According to the "Macau Daily", Ho Iat Seng said that after a comprehensive consideration of the socio-economic development situation and adhering to the principle of prudent financial management, various tax benefits and welfare measures will be extended.

He stated that after listening to the opinions of various sectors of society, the cash sharing system will be timely improved, with the savings in expenditure used to enhance people's welfare and promote community economic development.

He also mentioned that it should be recognized that the current economic prospects of Macau face uncertainties, the structure of fiscal income sources is singular, and rigid fiscal expenditures are large. Therefore, the SAR government must make good use of financial resources, implement the approach of precise assistance, policy inclination, and resource allocation, under the principle of balancing income and expenditure, precisely assisting the "elderly and young", individuals with disabilities, and vulnerable groups, securing the bottom line of people's livelihoods, and promoting social fairness.
