Taiwanese celebrity Darren Wang has recently been embroiled in controversies, not only involving alleged evasion of military service but also a dispute with an Uber driver discovered during the investigation. However, he will still report as planned for alternative service on the 13th. It is understood that the draftees will gather at the North Second Gate of Taipei Station at 9 AM to begin their military service career.

Darren Wang was investigated for allegedly evading military service and was released with a bail of 150,000 TWD (approximately 20,000 MYR). During the investigation, an incident was uncovered where he had a dispute with an Uber driver. It is reported that Wang had a verbal altercation with the driver over trivial matters, made an offensive gesture, and banged on the car window. The driver was later followed and beaten, and the case initially failed to be reported. Darren Wang is now also being investigated for 'assault,' and on the 5th of this month, he was released on a 5 million TWD (approximately 670,000 MYR) bail.

Moreover, further investigation revealed that the head of the Criminal Investigation Division's third team in Taipei City, surnamed Liu, was suspected of leaking information and forwarding related materials to Darren Wang's affluent friend, You Hsiang-Min, attracting public attention. In addition to the military service controversy and Uber driver dispute, Wang was recently accused of allegedly using underworld connections to help his girlfriend collect debts in prison, causing public uproar. Despite the widespread discussion, his enlistment process has not been affected, and he will report for service on the 13th as scheduled.
