The U.S. Central Command announced on social media on the 13th that it will form its first multinational attack drone unit.
According to the announcement, this unit will be known as the "Falcon Strike" task force and will operate one-way attack drones. These drones will be operated by military personnel from the United States and regional partners, and will be capable of launching attacks from the air, sea, and underwater.
The U.S. Central Command stated that consultations and formal invitations to regional partners have already commenced. As more regional partners join, the "Falcon Strike" task force will integrate attack drone capabilities across the entire Middle East, aiming to build a unified, cross-domain, multinational deterrent force.
However, the U.S. Central Command did not specify which countries will participate.
The U.S. Central Command is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and is responsible for military operations in the Middle East, Central Asia, and parts of South Asia.
