(Miri 29th) Miri Member of Parliament, Chiew Choon Man, expressed his deepest gratitude to the Federal Government through the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Miri branch. He thanked them for their continuous efforts in organizing the Rahmah Sales plan every month across the entire Miri parliamentary constituency.
He stated that this plan has proven to be highly effective, helping people acquire daily necessities at lower prices, with discounts reaching up to 30% off market prices. This aligns with the government's goal to alleviate the economic burden on the people and reduce living costs.
"Whenever festivals such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Gawai, and Christmas approach, the Miri government organizes larger-scale celebrations so that more Miri residents can enjoy the benefits."
He pointed out that 11 Rahmah Sales events were held in Miri today, and he was pleased that 5 of them took place within the Miri parliamentary constituency.
"I believe this effort demonstrates that the Unity Government led by the Prime Minister genuinely cares about the welfare of the people, including the people of Sarawak. The Federal Government is committed to ensuring that the people of Sarawak are not marginalized, as evident from plans like the 'People's Rights Protection Order', which directly benefits the grassroots citizens."
He also mentioned that, as the Miri Member of Parliament, he is committed to continuing the effort to introduce more plans that directly benefit the people in the area.
