(Miri, 13th) The Pei Min Secondary School Debate Team successfully concluded the "In-School Chinese Debate Competition" finals for both high school and junior high school groups at 6:30 pm on July 11th (Saturday) in the main hall. The "Year 2 Class 1 Team" won the junior high school championship; in the high school group, the "Life Team" claimed the crown.
The overall Best Debater for the high school and junior high school groups were Wu Jiacheng and Deng Yutong.
This year's debate competition featured 9 teams from both high school and junior high school, and after the preliminaries held on July 4th and 5th, four teams were selected to enter the finals for a fierce showdown.
This debate competition was a high-level feast of critical thinking, with team members presenting sharp views and unique insights. Particularly, the finals featured a peak duel, as both sides exchanged sharp arguments and sparks flew in a head-to-head battle.

Bei Meijiao stated that the school's debate team students are quick-witted and have rigorous reasoning, fully demonstrating the spirit of critical thinking, excellent eloquence, and youthful style in the debate arena.
She said that the school's debate team gathers the school's debate elites and is regularly coached by professionals. This not only sets an example of rational thinking and civil dialogue but also serves as an important platform for nurturing students' civic literacy.
She added that the purpose of holding the debate competition is to build an arena that inspires thinking, allowing students to train their logical thinking skills, improve their language expression and adaptability, and showcase the charm of language arts and the brilliance of intellectual thinking through the clash of ideas.
