Prosecutors Seek 17-Year Sentence Due to Lack of Remorse
According to Japanese media outlet 'Mainichi Broadcasting,' the defendant sexually assaulted his then-15-year-old daughter from June 2024 to February 2025. In early 2025, the father targeted his then-14-year-old second daughter, causing both daughters to become pregnant—the elder giving birth and the younger undergoing an abortion.
Prosecutors stated, 'The defendant repeatedly committed offenses against his daughters, completely disregarding their personalities and dignity. Each act was extremely vile.' They also emphasized, 'He demonstrated clear habitual offender traits; these acts were part of a pattern of habitual criminal behavior.' The motive for his crimes was 'purely to satisfy his own sexual desires,' and his 'selfish motives and actions are inexcusable.'
Prosecutors further noted that the defendant denied the charges upon arrest, saying, 'He has not genuinely confronted his actions and their gravity, showing an obvious lack of remorse.'
