The biennial Singapore Airshow will be held from February 3 to 8 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, with six air force aerobatic teams presenting eight spectacular flight performances.
Organizer Experia Events said in a press release on the 23rd that the Royal Australian Air Force’s 5th generation fighter, the F-35A Lightning II, will make its debut at this year’s airshow.
In addition, several air force teams renowned for their aerobatic skills will once again showcase their talents, including the Indian Air Force “Peacock” Helicopter Display Team, the Indonesian Air Force “Jupiter” Aerobatic Team, and the People’s Liberation Army Air Force’s August 1st Aerobatic Team from China. The Royal Malaysian Air Force’s Sukhoi Su-30MKM aerobatic performance, which was featured at the Singapore Airshow in 2016 and 2018, will also return to the stage.
Representing the host country, the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s display team will present a combination of aerial stunts involving the F-16C fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache helicopter.
The airshow will also feature high-profile aircraft, including the Airbus A350-1000 passenger jet and the COMAC C919 narrow-body airliner from China.
The press release noted that this year’s airshow will showcase more than 35 aircraft, with other participating manufacturers and aviation companies including Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Embraer.
