Iranian Foreign Minister Criticizes Israeli Assassination Operations, Points to Double Standards in International Community

On the evening of the 18th, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi posted on social media, stating that Israel has completely disregarded the consequences of normalizing its heinous assassination tactics, and that the international community should not maintain double standards or turn a blind eye to such reckless actions by Israel.

The day before, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu released a video on social media showing him talking to U.S. Ambassador to Israel Herkabi, and presenting a card related to the assassination of senior Iranian officials, claiming that he had 'wiped off two names' from it that day, implying that Israel had assassinated Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Larijani and the militia leader of the 'Organization for the Mobilization of the Oppressed' (Basij), Soleimani.

Araghchi pointed out that if the Iranian President were to display a kill list to a foreign ambassador with the names of the U.S. President, congressional leaders, senior generals, etc., and then announced that they would be eliminated one by one, the United Nations Security Council would immediately convene an emergency meeting, the media would hype it up, and 'sanctions, threats, even war would follow as all of this would be packaged in the name of "international law" and maintenance of "global order".'

He stated, however, that when it comes to Israel, the usual rules of the game seem no longer to apply. The so-called guardians of law and order remain silent, are vague, and even provide Israel with weapons and protection. This reflects a deliberate moral breakdown, where rules apply only to adversaries while exemptions are reserved exclusively for allies.

He added that Israel is dragging its American partners step by step into a deeper moral and political abyss.
