Organized by the Malaysia–Cambodia Business Association (MCBA) and joined by 20 major Malaysian chambers of commerce, the trade delegation successfully conducted a four-day official visit and business exchange trip to Cambodia from June 26 to 29 this year.
The itinerary included visits to several key Cambodian government agencies, including the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation. The delegation was also honored to be received by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet at the Prime Minister's Office for discussions on cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade, investment, education, human resources, agriculture, and the digital economy.

MCBA President Dato’ Sri Qiu Jincai stated, “This visit is not only a business exchange, but also an important step in our efforts to encourage Malaysian enterprises to ‘go global’ and explore the Cambodian and broader Southeast Asian markets. We also look forward to using long-term cooperation platforms to help more Malaysian companies establish themselves in Cambodia and develop together.”
The delegation members came from a diverse range of fields, including SMEs, furniture, timber, energy, interior design, electronics and electrical, brand development, sustainable supply chain, wedding industry, education and training, credit management, cross-border e-commerce, machinery and engineering, lecturers’ associations, and more. The group visit also builds on the “Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding” signed in mid-May at the MATRADE building in Malaysia, with Cambodia serving as the first on-site connection point.
The 20 participating chambers and organizations in the delegation include: Malaysia–Cambodia Business Association, SME Association of Malaysia, The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, Malaysia Chinese Business Alliance, Malaysia Brand Association, Malaysia ESG Association, Malaysia Electrical Industry Association, Malaysia Wedding Professionals Association, Malaysia Interior Designers Partners Association, Malaysia Timber Industry Board, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Furniture Association, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Builders Association, Federation of Machinery and Engineering Industries Associations of Malaysia, Federation of Sundry Goods Merchants Associations of Malaysia, Malaysia Lecturers Association, Malaysia Sustainable Supply Chain and Innovation Association, Malaysia International Durian Industry Development Federation, Malaysia Cross-Border E-Commerce Association, Malaysia Credit Management Association, and Jey Ching Business Academy.
