Ukrainian Defense Minister Umerov posted on social media on the evening of the 28th that Ukraine has submitted a document to Russia regarding Ukraine's ceasefire stance, and Ukraine is awaiting Russia's submission of its memorandum on the ceasefire.
Umerov, who also serves as the head of the Ukrainian negotiation delegation, stated that Ukraine has submitted a document to Russia that “reflects Ukraine's stance,” but Russia did not submit its memorandum on the ceasefire immediately after Ukraine submitted its document as agreed.
He accused Russia of “delaying” the submission of this document.
Umerov mentioned that Ukraine reiterated its position of being willing to conduct a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire and continue diplomatic contacts. Ukraine does not oppose further talks with Russia and is waiting for Russia to submit the memorandum so that the talks do not become “empty rhetoric” and can further promote the end of the conflict.
He emphasized that diplomacy must have substantive content, and the next negotiations “must yield results.”
