【September 3rd Military Parade】Leaders of Multiple Countries Arrive in Beijing by High-Speed Rail

On the evening of the 1st, leaders of several countries who attended the SCO summit in Tianjin traveled to Beijing by high-speed rail, preparing to participate in the event commemorating the 80th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, to be held on September 3rd. Attendees include Belarusian President Lukashenko, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz, and others.

Belarusian President Lukashenko

After attending the SCO summit held in Tianjin, Belarusian President Lukashenko arrived in Beijing by high-speed rail on the evening of the 1st. This marks President Lukashenko’s 16th visit to China. Belarus established diplomatic relations with China in 1992 and was among the first countries to join the Belt and Road Initiative. In September 2022, China and Belarus elevated their ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. China is Belarus’ second largest trading partner and its largest trading partner in Asia.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz

After attending the SCO summit in Tianjin, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz also arrived in Beijing by high-speed rail on the evening of the 1st. Pakistan is a member state of the SCO. China and Pakistan are good neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, trustworthy friends, supportive partners, and brothers who stand together in times of adversity. The all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan continues to deepen, with a solid public foundation, strong internal momentum, and broad development prospects.

Uzbek President Mirziyoyev

Uzbek President Mirziyoyev also arrived in Beijing by high-speed rail on the evening of the 1st. Previously, Mirziyoyev was invited to attend the SCO summit held in Tianjin. Uzbekistan is one of the founding members of the SCO. In January 2024, the leaders of both China and Uzbekistan jointly announced the development of a new era all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership, building a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future at a higher starting point.

In addition, Mongolian President Khurelsukh, Tajik President Rahmon, Maldivian President Muizzu, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Sarbay, and President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun, all traveled from Tianjin to Beijing by high-speed rail, preparing to attend the event on the 3rd commemorating the 80th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
