According to reports from CCTV News and the "Guangxi News Channel" WeChat public account under Guangxi Radio and TV, at 0:21 a.m. on May 18, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Liunan District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi, with a focal depth of 8,000 meters.
The epicenter is located in Taiyang Village Town, Liunan District, 13 kilometers from the urban area of Liunan District and 16 kilometers from downtown Liuzhou City. The Earthquake Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has already initiated corresponding emergency response measures, and the situation of earthquake disaster is still being ascertained.

The deceased are a man surnamed Lan (aged 63) and his wife (female, 53 years old).
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center rapid report directory, there have been five earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above within 200 kilometers of the epicenter in the past five years, with this earthquake being the strongest.
