China’s Tiangong robot has once again set a new record in the 100-meter sprint with a time of 8.86 seconds.
According to CCTV News, during the second World Humanoid Robot Sports Competition on Tuesday, the first group of the large-sized 100-meter semi-finals saw the record broken once again.
Following a 9.39-second run during the opening ceremony, the Tiangong robot from the Beijing Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center achieved an 8.86-second best time. The human 100m world record is held by Jamaica’s Usain Bolt at 9.58 seconds.
Previously, Tiangong robot also achieved a high jump of 2.88 meters, surpassing the human men’s high jump world record of 2.45 meters.
