On the 18th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement announcing the launch of the 61st wave of the “True Promise-4” operation to retaliate for the death of Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
The statement said that in this round of strikes, the IRGC fired “Castle Buster” and “Emad” missiles, as well as multi-warhead “Khorramshahr-4” and “Qadr” missiles. The missiles struck over a hundred military and security targets in Tel Aviv, Israel, without any interference.
The IRGC noted that, after this airstrike, power outages occurred in parts of Tel Aviv. It is estimated that more than 230 people were killed or injured in Israel during the attack.
In addition, on the 17th, the US Central Command posted on social media, stating that US forces used multiple 5,000-pound bunker buster bombs to strike Iranian missile sites along the coast of the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Central Command said that the Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles deployed at these sites posed a threat to international shipping in the strait.
