On Wednesday evening, a reception for the new Chinese Ambassador to Nepal was held in Kathmandu. At the event, the Unitree robot, acting as a 'protocol officer', immediately attracted the attention of many guests as soon as it made its appearance. It took on protocol duties such as welcoming guests, shaking hands, and presenting flowers at the entrance of the reception, weaving among Chinese and foreign guests, and adding a striking sense of the future to this diplomatic event in the ancient land of the snow-capped Buddhist kingdom.
More than 700 people from various sectors of China and Nepal, as well as foreign diplomats stationed in Nepal, attended the reception for the new Chinese Ambassador to Nepal.
Performers from the Inner Mongolia Art Theatre presented guests with a grassland-themed performance from the northern frontier of China.
