(Miri, 26th) As the footsteps of the Lunar New Year approach, Alan Ling , secretary of the Sarawak Pakatan Harapan, urges everyone to follow traffic rules and ensure safe return home to celebrate reunions!

He mentioned that the Road Transport Department and the police will certainly carry out enforcement actions during the festive season to ensure the safety of road users. Often during this period, there are more vehicles on the road. With the increase in traffic, all parties must do their utmost to minimize traffic accidents.

Alan Ling , who is also the secretary of the Sarawak Democratic Action Party, pointed out that the Road Transport Department will also strengthen supervision to ensure the safety of long-distance buses to protect the safety of passengers.

"Although Sarawak already has the dual-lane Pan-Borneo Highway, some sections are not fully completed, and some sections lack street lighting. Therefore, people must remain vigilant on the road, avoid speeding, and prevent causing harm to themselves and others."

Finally, he wishes the travelers returning home for the New Year a smooth journey and encourages making use of the time to gather with family and spend more quality time with them.

"During my recent visits to coffee shops, I could feel the strong atmosphere of reunion, with many wanderers returning home to celebrate the festival with family. This scene is particularly heartwarming. I hope that apart from the festive period, wanderers, if circumstances permit, can visit home more often to see their parents and elders."
