SARIKEI, July 1: The Sarikei District Social Welfare Office (JKM) will organize the Outreach Program to Reach Out to the Community (POSKOM) at the Meradong Community Hall from July 12 to 13.
According to a statement from JKM Sarikei, various interesting activities will be held throughout the two-day program, including briefings on JKM services, sales booths featuring Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) products, as well as exhibitions from various agencies and Wellbest entrepreneurs.
“Other attractions include competitions and lucky draws for visitors,” the statement said.
POSKOM is an initiative introduced by JKM Sarawak aimed at reaching out to the community, especially those in need, in addition to providing the public with opportunities to obtain information and advice related to welfare assistance.
The program also serves as an interactive platform between the public and stakeholders in an effort to introduce the services provided by JKM to the general public.
“POSKOM is in line with the aspirations of the Sarawak Government to improve the well-being of its people at all levels, as outlined in the Post COVID-19 Development Plan (PCDS) 2030,” it stated.
