Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), pointed out that although ASEAN has a population of nearly 700 million and is one of the fastest-growing economic regions in the world, the challenges of intense global competition remain.
“Through business matching (organized by the ASEAN Chinese Business Elites Summit), we provide a practical approach to strengthen intra-ASEAN cooperation, build a resilient supply chain, and enhance our collective competitiveness on the global stage.”
In addition, he stated that as an export-oriented economy, Malaysia’s economic growth depends on strong international connections.
“Our open trade reflects our adaptability and strategic vision. Conferences like today’s highlight our readiness to seize global opportunities and showcase the dynamism of our business community to the world.”
Ng Yih Pyng made these remarks this morning (7th) while attending the opening ceremony of the inaugural ASEAN Chinese Business Elites Summit.
“Malaysian enterprises are also known for their spirit of innovation and resilience, especially in sectors such as palm oil and digital technology. Our strategic location in ASEAN serves as a gateway to vast markets, which enhances our attractiveness as a center for trade and investment.”
