(Miri, 17th)Dynasty Hotel today held a New Year donation event at the hotel, with the guest of honor being the Sarawak Minister of Women, Children, and Community Wellbeing, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.
Speaking at the event, Dynasty Hotel's Managing Director Tony Pui expressed that the echoes of the Chinese Lunar New Year in 2025 are gradually approaching, and let's embrace the New Year with joy and hope for a better future.
He stated that he is very grateful to the prestigious Sarawak Minister of Women, Children, and Community Wellbeing, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, for taking the time from her busy schedule to attend and preside over the New Year donation event this morning.
“Upholding the social corporate responsibility and philosophy of 'Taking from society, giving back to society', our hotel has been organizing the New Year donation event since 2001, celebrating its 25th year, and has been co-organizing it with the Miri Welfare Department since 2003, marking 23 years. Each year, we hold charitable gifting events three times annually.”
He pointed out that today's donation event benefited 150 disadvantaged individuals, including the elderly without support, those from impoverished families, and disabled individuals. They received gifts from the hotel, including 150 Ringgit worth of rice, oil, salt, chicken, and festival food, as well as a 100 Ringgit red packet distributed by the government via the Welfare Department.
“It is hoped that those who received festival gifts and red packets will not focus on the value of the gifts and the amount of the red packets. The significant meaning lies in the care and support from the government and corporate society, enabling everyone to share the festive atmosphere and feel the care and warmth provided by society.”
He also thanked the esteemed members of society, merchants, and enthusiastic individuals from various circles for their generous support of Dynasty Hotel, enabling the continuation of charitable endeavors.
