Chinese mainland host Zhang Dada has recently been involved in controversies over workplace bullying and abuse. Recently, he was accused by backstage staff of verbal abuse and physical violence. The situation has not yet subsided. On January 31, a Weibo celebrity blogger with millions of followers, "Liu Dashuo," released another recording. Although not named explicitly, the voice is widely believed by netizens to resemble Zhang Dada. In the recording, the man not only repeatedly curses but also threatens to blacklist others, sparking renewed discussion.
The Weibo blogger "Liu Dashuo" shared a 3-minute audio file on January 31 and wrote, "Please help me identify which workplace bullying repeat offender is the person in the audio?" Although not explicitly named, netizens have flooded the comments identifying Zhang Dada. In the recording, the man, dissatisfied with a staff member’s hired non-celebrity actor being "rude," unleashes profanities, yelling "F*** your mom," "Why hire someone with this attitude," "He doesn't greet and keeps playing on his phone," and even threatens "If he doesn't apologize, don't let him leave alive today," "directly blacklist this person."
Based on the dialogue screenshot released by Liu Dashuo, at the time of the incident, the actor had actually arrived on time. But because Zhang Dada was nearly 2 hours late, the actor, after a prolonged wait, was playing on his phone and was thus scolded for "having a bad attitude." When Zhang Dada was ready to start shooting, the actor responded "I've been waiting for you for a long time," which led to Zhang Dada's outburst and verbal abuse.
