Miho Nakayama and her ex-husband announced their divorce in 2014, reportedly due to dissatisfaction with her husband’s preference for gender-neutral dressing and personality incompatibility, which led to the breakdown of their 12-year marriage. However, during the rumors of marital change, Miho Nakayama was photographed holding hands and kissing musician Keiichiro Shibuya, leading to criticism of infidelity during the marriage. After the divorce by agreement in the same year, custody was awarded to the father. It was also reported that her relationship with Keiichiro Shibuya ended after she suffered domestic violence, and afraid of disturbing her son's life, she gave up the idea of visiting France, causing the mother-son relationship to weaken.
