Rotary Club Holds Outreach Event to Assist Needy Families in Conjunction with Hari Raya, Distributes Supplies to Nine Households

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 28th)—In conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration, the Bandar Seri Begawan Rotary Club recently held its annual community outreach event at the Rotary Clubhouse, aiming to support needy families within the local community. A total of nine families benefited from the initiative.

Led by the club’s president Paula and other Rotarians, club members distributed a variety of daily necessities and food items to help alleviate the financial burden of these families during the festive season. The donated supplies included food items such as curry chicken, baked beans, canned sardines, as well as sugar, salt, cooking oil, instant noodles, coffee, tea, Milo, biscuits, fragrant rice, and each household also received a carton of eggs.

During the event, Club President Yang Rongwen expressed his gratitude for the Rotary Club’s ongoing ability to serve the community. He stated that the spirit of dedication is at the heart of the Rotary Club’s mission, and hoped that these donation activities would bring joy and comfort to the recipient families during Ramadan and Hari Raya.

The Bandar Seri Begawan Rotary Club has long upheld the motto of “Service Above Self,” and throughout the year continuously organizes various initiatives focusing on community welfare, education, and humanitarian aid. This outreach event is part of the club’s broader community service program.
