53-year-old Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz and her husband Benji Madden have announced the arrival of their third child, surprising and delighting the public. The couple shared the joyful news through Benji's Instagram account, writing: “Cameron and I are so happy, excited, and feel incredibly blessed to announce the birth of our third child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to this world, son!” Cameron responded in the comments with a string of star and heart emojis.
Cameron and her rocker husband Benji, who is six years younger, got married 11 years ago and are parents to daughter Raddix and son Cardinal. Raddix was born in December 2019, Cardinal in March 2024, both via surrogate mothers. It is believed by outsiders that their third child was born the same way.
Just last week, in a rare interview, Cameron spoke about her temporary break from show business and becoming a mother at 47, sharing her feelings about being an older mom. She told OK! Magazine: “I love being a mom. It’s the best, best, best part of my life. My only pressure now is I have to live to about 107, you know?”
She continued: “Women who are having children at my age are actually 20 years younger than I am, so it’s an interesting position because I’m not that age. And that’s totally OK – but I want to maintain that vitality for my children. I’m just trying to survive, like every other mother.”
