(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah and Crown Princess Sarah, accompanied by their children, departed yesterday for Canberra, Australia, at the invitation of Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, for a four-day official visit scheduled from 12 to 15 August 2026.
The Crown Prince arrived at the Royal Australian Air Force Fairbairn Base, where he was welcomed by Major General (Retired) Andrew Freeman, Defence and Security Strategic Adviser.
Also present to welcome him were Michael Hoi, Australian High Commissioner to Brunei; and Matt Thistlethwaite, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.
Brunei’s High Commissioner to Australia, Noralina, was also present to welcome them.
