(Report from Miri, 4th) Recent consecutive heavy rains have caused flooding in many areas of Miri. To assist post-disaster cleanup work, the City Council has set up trash bins in affected areas such as Desa Indah, Pujut Tanjung Batu, and Pujut Sungai Adong to facilitate residents in disposing of damaged furniture and waste.
In the Pujut Tanjung Batu area, also handled by T & E GLOBAL SDN BHD, the City Council set up trash bins at five locations, with cleanup ongoing from February 2nd to February 8th (7 days total). The trash bin locations include Jalan Tanjung Batu 3, Jalan Miri Bypass Tg Batu Muslim cemetery, Jalan Tanjung Batu 1C, Jalan Tanjung Batu 4, and Jalan Tanjung Batu 4F.
Pujut Sungai Adong is managed by Toh Ah Kaw Contractors Sdn Bhd, with the City Council placing trash bins at two locations from February 2nd to February 8th (7 days total). The bins are set up at Jalan Adong 2 and Jalan Pujut 1D.
The City Council urges affected residents to take advantage of the trash bins promptly to properly dispose of waste to prevent affecting the community environment.
